Scholarship
The Islamic
Center of Minnesota is pleased to announce the availability of
scholarships for the academic year 2011-2012. A total of 12
scholarships will be awarded by the ICM Scholarship Committee based on
criteria outlined by the donors and the Scholarship Supervisory
Committee as designated by the donors.
The
overall intent of the scholarship program is to encourage pursuit of
higher education, recognize community service and reward academic
excellence by members of our youth. In keeping with our goals,
therefore, the selection criteria encompass:
1.
Superior Academic Achievement
2.
Demonstrated Financial Need
3.
Service to the Community
In
order to be considered for a scholarship award, candidates must submit
a completed application form - along with all supporting documents
– by the advertised deadline. In addition, they must be legal
residents of the state of Minnesota and must be enrolled in or admitted
to an accredited institution of higher learning (college, university,
etc.) for full-time studies during the application year. We strongly
encourage all eligible candidates to apply during this application
cycle whether or not they were awarded a scholarship under this program
in previous years.

about the application process, eligibility criteria, required
documentation and applicable deadlines. Application forms are available
at the ICM office and may either be picked up in person or via email by
sending a request to icm@islamiccentermn.org. You
may also directly download the application form here.
Once
the application is complete, please return to the ICM office by the
application deadline noted below:

Sent to All Applicants August 10th, 2011
- Distribution
of Checks August 13th , 2011
